SafeMobile is a unique, highly scalable, customizable mobile asset management system that goes beyond the utilization of Global Positioning System (GPS) and Automatic Vehicle Location technologies to greatly enhance fleet safety and operating efficiency. No matter what mobile customers you serve- police and fire departments, delivery firms, HazMat and other trucking operators, sanitation teams, bus/taxi/limo firms, service companies or other concerns - SafeMobile is an open, scalable and flexible solution to meet their security and productivity needs.
SafeMobile offers its customers an exceptional level of flexibility to address their specialized information requirements. Customers can select from several information management display alternatives to different mobile/ in-vehicle remote units that can be used on the same system. Data can be collected and transferred simultaneously via multiple wireless communication carriers and platforms, allowing customers to integrate different data streams.
The SafeMobile Asset Management System consists of three main elements:
Hardware Unit
Communication Platform
Software Application (SafeNet™/ SafeDispatch™).
The Hardware Unit is the Automatic Vehicle Location GPS Unit that is installed on each vehicle. The Hardware Units are available for transmission over a variety of wireless networks (cellular and radio). Location and event reports can be transmitted periodically (e.g., every 10 seconds) and/or upon defined events.
The Software Application is where the information collected from the hardware units is presented to the user in a meaningful way for various monitoring purposes. The two different software application alternatives are based on each customer requirements, the desire level of customization and cost preferences (i.e. Service fees (SafeNet) versus up-front development investment (SafeDispatch)). Regardless of the customer's choice, the access to the software application is always flexible (monitoring can be performed from home, at the office or from any other location with internet connection).
Since SafeMobile produces the Harware Units and the Application Software, SafeMobile has total control over each major architectural element. This control means that SafeMobile can develop new features by modifying one or all of the major elements -whichever approach is the most efficient. Since SafeMobile's extremely flexible and scalable Remote Unit is able to interface with a wide variety of sensors and transducers, most modifications can be accomplished in software, which greatly reduces development time. Hence, SafeMobile is a great choice for nearly any mobile asset monitoring need.
HOW IT WORKS:
The hardware units are either provided for installment on the vehicles or need to be carried on by the personnel.
The GPS module inside the hardware unit receives
messages from geo-stationary satellites and computes the unit's physical position on the earth via its longitude and latitude.
The unit monitors changes in status and takes regular positional samples and stores them in its internal memory. The unit gathers and continuously records information like position, speed, and the status of its inputs.
Once the memory becomes full or the unit is instructed to send, the stored information is sent to a dispatcher using the selected wireless communication network.
The Safemobile software application receives messages and translates them into meaningful information to the customer through various electronic maps.
